AshantiGold Sporting Club have elevated Thomas Duah to the position of interim head coach until the end of the ongoing league season.
Duah has been handed the top position again after head coach Romain Folz absconded on Tuesday.[ads2]
As reported earlier, coach Romain Folz departed Ghana for his native country without informing any management member of AshantiGold SC.
He left alongside goalkeeeper’s trainer Manu Rodriguez after just a month at the Ghana Premier League side.[ads3]
With AshantiGold SC fighting the top four position and the league title, the leadership of the club have appointed assistant coach Thomas Duah yo serve as the interim head coach until the season comes to an end.
This was made known by the Communications Director of the club, Eric Karikari during an interview with Otec FM in Kumasi.
He said that, “”There are few matches to end the season so management has appointed Thomas Duah to take charge of the team on an interim basis till the end of the season”[ads4]
“We have no plans to bring in another coach as of now”, he added..
AshantiGold SC are currently placing ninth on the Ghana Premier League log with thirty points after twenty-two matches.[ads5]
