Thirty-one players have been invited to join the Black Princesses for a residential training camp at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram as preparations intensify for Ghana’s FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifier against South Africa.
The team is regrouping following a convincing qualification over Tunisia, which saw Ghana record a dominant 4–0 aggregate victory to progress to the third round of the qualifiers.
Ghana will host South Africa in the first leg of the tie in early February 2026 before travelling to South Africa for the return fixture later in the month, with a place at the next round of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers at stake.
The invited squad includes overseas-based players Alexandra Tay, a defender with Stanford University, and Jenna Kayla Sarpong of Auburn University, both of whom are expected to strengthen the team ahead of the crucial double-header.
All selected players are expected to report to camp on Friday, January 2, 2026, as technical preparations begin in earnest.
