Kyfilla.com earlier disclosed that the former AC Milan midfielder will be landing in South Africa this week to conclude a deal with one of the local clubs.[ads2]
According to reports from South Africa, the UEFA Champions League winner will be arriving in South Africa latest by tomorrow to conclude a deal with Maritzburg United.
Per the reports, the former Inter Milan enforcer has agreed a deal in principle with the South African outfit and could be unveiled latest by the close of this week barring any last-minute changes.[ads3]
Muntari was heavily linked to Kaizer Chiefs and Cape Town City FC but it looks like he will sign for Maritzburg United who reportedly submitted a good offer to the Ghanaian.
He has been unattached since leaving Spanish side Albecete in 2019.
Muntari was also linked to Ghana Premier League giant Hearts of Oak but the deal hit the rocks.[ads4]
He has played for clubs like Udinese, Portsmouth, Inter Milan, AC Milan, Sunderland, Pescara, Deportivo La Coruna and host of others.
Sulley Muntari capped 84 matches for Ghana from 2002-2004, scoring about 20 goals.
