StarTimes to sue Silver FM, Aseda FM & other media houses for broadcasting GPL matches illegally

Ghana Premier League television rights holders, StarTimes have threatened to sue four media houses for broadcasting the league matches illegally.

The 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season commenced last weekend and it seems like some media houses failed to secure the permission from StarTimes before broadcasting the matches.[ads2]

In a statement, StarTimes have threatened to sue Silver FM, Aseda FM, Stade Afrique and Najoe Sounds for illegally broadcasting the Asante Kotoko game against Eleven Wonders.

The statement further implored other media houses to defray from broadcasting the Ghana Premier League matches illegally.[ads3]
