Simba Sporting Club captain, John Raphael Bocco has been named the Man of the Match despite defeat to Sevilla FC in the SportPesa Laliga World Challenge in Tanzania.
The Tanzania Premier League champions were shockingly beaten 4:5 by the Laliga giant at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam after a fascinating showdown.
The sensational goal poacher had a brace in the wary encounter (8, 32) with Meddie Kagere and Clatous Chama getting the third and fourth goals respectfully.
Bocco’s spectacular display was not enough as Nolito, Escudero, Gil and Promes brilliantly secured victory for the visitors at the expense of the defending champions of the Tanzania Premier League.

The 29-year old was voted the Man of the Match after the game even though Simba Sporting Club were beaten.
The friendly encounter was part of the LaLiga World powered by SportPesa initiative which is a part of the wider LaLiga World Challenge project which aims to promote Spanish football throughout the world, spreading the Spanish Brand, bringing La Liga closer to its followers and promoting La Liga clubs outside of Spain.
Seville FC are the first Spanish club to visit Tanzania to play a friendly and the second European club to do so after Everton did in 2017 against Kariobanji Sharks of Kenya.
