The Youth and Sports Ministry has summoned the leadership of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to an emergency meeting on Friday, January 21, 2022.
This comes following the Black Stars early exit from the ongoing AFCON in Cameroon after a shameful defeat to Comoros on last Tuesday in Garoua.[ads2]
Ghana was booted out of the tournament after losing 3:2 in last group game of the AFCON to Comoros who were making their debut appearance.
Ghanaians have expressed their disappointments in the performance of the Black Stars since the shocking defeat to Comoros, calling for the dissolution of the technical team led by Serbian tactician Milovan Rajevac.[ads3]
In a press statement, the Youth and Sports Ministry has shared in the sentiment of Ghanaians who are hugely disappointed in the performance of the Black Stars despite boasting of stars like Thomas Partey, Daniel Amartey, Jordan Ayew and his brother Andre Ayew.
The Ministry emphasized the emergency meeting will be on urgent discussions and take decisions aimed at salvaging the performance of the Black Stars especially in the next set of games.
