Karela United head coach, Johnson Smith says his outfit don’t need any special preparations to beat Asante Kotoko in the finals of the NC Special Competition tier 1.
According to the former Sekondi Eleven Wise gaffer, meeting Asante Kotoko in the final is just like any other game which doesn’t require any special preparations.
“Kotoko’s game on Sunday is a normal game for Karela United so we will approach the game on Sunday with our normal approach for our games. My players are on top form now and they are all ready for the game against Kotoko on Sunday”, Smith told Ashh FM.
He further stated that, his outfit, in honouring of their late President, Senator Brigidi, are poised to beat the Porcupine Warriors for the ultimate and a chance to represent Ghana in next season’s CAF Champions League
“I want to win the trophy and represent Ghana in the CAF Champions League because the late Senator Brigidi promised us before his demise that, Karela United will go to Africa in the next two years. We want to win the trophy to honour the Late Senator Brigidi and to fulfil the promise he made to us before his demise”, he added.
Smith however concluded that, Karela United will beat Asante Kotoko on Sunday for the giant trophy if the center referee will be fair to both sides on the day.
“Karela United is ready for the final game against Kotoko on and Sunday and with fair officiating, we will win the trophy on Sunday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium”, he concluded.
Meanwhile, the finals is scheduled for Sunday, June 23, 2019 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
