In-form Asante Kotoko goalkeeper, Danlad Ibrahim is not part of Ghana squad for World Cup playoff games against Nigeria later this month.
According to sources, the outstanding goalkeeper is not part of the squad for the two crucial games as speculated earlier in the media even though Black Stars coach Otto Addo contacted the management of Asante Kotoko.
It is believed that coach Otto Addo has promised to monitor the progress of the budding goalkeeper for future call-ups but won’t be part of the list for the Nigeria games.
Reports have it that Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Richard Ofori, Abdul Manaf Nurudeen of Belgian club Eupin and Swindon Town’s Joseph Wollacot are the three goalkeepers invited for the two games against Nigeria.
The reports means that Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Richard Attah who was part of the Ghana squad for the AFCON 2021 will also not be part of the Black Stars list for the Nigeria games.
Ghana will host long-standing rival Nigeria at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium on March 25, 2022 for the first leg of the World Cup playoff before the reverse fixture on March 29 at the Mashood Abiola Sports Stadium in Abuja…
