Asante Kotoko agile goal poacher Songne Yacouba is on the verge of joining Sudanese side Al Hilal, Kyfilla.com can report.
According to Kumasi based Oyerepa FM, the 24-year old Burkinabe international has emerged as a top target for the Khartoum based club following his exploits in the CAF Confederation Cup last season.
Songne Yacouba was linked to South African side Orlando Pirates but Asante Kotoko had to reject their $100,000 bid, insisting Yacouba is priced at $150,000.
The former Stade de Malian forward is in the final year of his contract with Asante Kotoko and it seems like the Kumasi based side are ready to let him go after signing Richard Arthur and former Kariobanji Sharks lanky marksman George Abege.
According to the report, Al Hilal are ready to pay the asking price for the Burkinabe import and have even completed talks with Asante Kotoko but yet to discuss personal talks with the player.
Songne Yacouba was spectacular for the Porcupine Warriors during the last season’s CAF Confederation Cup, where he scored once and assisted five times.
