The Public Relations Officer for Asante Kotoko, Kennedy Boakye Ansah has denied media report that striker Songne Yacouba has been omitted from the team’s squad for the CAF Champions League campaign.
A report in the local media indicated that, the Burkina Faso marksman has been omitted from Asante Kotoko squad-list for the 2019/20 CAF Champions League campaign due to lateness to report for the preseason preparations.
However, the Public Relations Officer for the Porcupines, Kennedy Boakye Ansah has flatly denied the report, stating categorically clear that, the agile goal poacher is in the team’s squad-list for the competition.
“Let us put on record that, the said story is wrong. It is calculated to deceive our fans. Management is urging every Kotoko fan out there, to treat the story with the contempt it deserves.
“Yacouba is part of the for Africa. He is our player. He is in the team”, Kennedy Boakye Ansah told Kotoko Express.
The management member further disclosed that, the Africa squad would soon be made public, assuring fans that, a formidable team is being prepared for the competition which start next month.
