Seven players from the Black Princesses (Women’s U20) and the Black Maidens have tested positive for the novel Coronavirus.
According to reports in the media, the players tested positive for the disease after a general test was carried out last wee, few weeks after resuming training in Cape Coast.
A test was carried out last week on the players and officials of both teams who are preparing for their various national assignments which was in line with FIFA and CAF procedures to return football.

Seven players from teams camp tested positive for the coronavirus and have been isolated from the rest of the players and officials with another test set to be carried out soon.
This came to bare when officials from the Ghana Health Service presented the results of the test to the Ghana FA.
The Ghana FA will have to decide on whether to call off the camping or not after receiving the results.
The Black Princesses, Black Maidens and the Black Starlets were given the greenlight to resume camping by President Akufo-Addo as their continental assignments beckons.

But it seems the rights to resume camping could be snatch off from the teams again due to the new cases of coronavirus which has been recorded at the Black Princesses and Black Maidens camp.
The Black Princesses are preparing to play Guinea Bissau in a 2021 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifier.
The Black Maidens who smashed Liberia 10-0 in a two-legged World Cup qualifier in March have a date against rivals Nigeria in October, 2020.

Meanwhile, CAF has already postpone the qualifiers due to the closure of borders by some countries.
Ghana has recorded 42,653 cases of the deadly coronavirus with 40,567 recoveries, 1,847 active cases and 239 deaths.
