Sekondi College have gallantly defended the Sekondi Zone of the Inter School & Colleges soccer competition title after beating St. John’s Schools in the finals on Friday.

The ‘Yennsuro’ lads defeated tournament favorite St. John’s Schools 2:1 in the grand finale of the boys category at the Gyandu Park in Sekondi today.
James Annan opened the scores for SEKCO with a sublime free kick in the early minutes of the first half but John Dadzie had the equaliser for St. John’s with fifteen minutes to end the first forty-five minutes.

Emmanuel Yeboah-Donkor grabbed the match winner for SEKCO from the spot to secure the defending champions the giant trophy again.
Meanwhile Shama Senior High School placed third in the competition after beautifully ditching star studded Adiembra Senior High 3:2 in the third place play off.
In the girls category, Shama Senior High won the first position after beating Sekondi College in the grand finale while Diabene Senior High finished third after beating Ahantaman Girls in the third place play off.
