Ghana has named its squad list for the upcoming Rugby Africa Sevens AFCON in Uganda.
The tournament is slated for April 23-24, 2022 in Kampala, and it will serve as qualifier for the 2022 World Cup in South Africa and the Commonwealth Games in England.
Ghana is among the fourteen countries to participate in the tournament after winning the West Africa edition of the Sevens Championship held in Kumasi.
Coach Dallas Lovemore and his charges departed Ghana for Uganda few days ago to intensify preparations before the commencement of the tournament.
The Sevens AFCON Championship will have all three medallists will qualify for a ticket to Cape Town for the World Cup on September 9-11 at the Cape Town Stadium while only the finalists will have booked their flight to Birmingham for the Commonwealth Games on July 29-31 at the Coventry Stadium.
