Asante Kotoko have contacted former Ashantolgold tactician, Romain Folz over the coaching role at the club next season.
This was revealed by Folz in an interview on Kumasi-based Pure FM.[ads2]
According to the Frenchman, a member from the Asante Kotoko has contacted him for the job next season.
He didn’t give much details but insisted that there’s been contact with the club.[ads3]
“I got a contact from someone within Asante Kotoko Board telling me to come and coach the club next season if I’m free. I didn’t have much detail about him but he only said he’s a member of the Board of Directors of the club,” he said.
Romain Folz left Ashantigold SC after guiding the team in a just game despite signing a two-year deal with the club.[ads4]
He nev detailed his reasons for leaving Ashantigold but it seems he will make a return to Ghana but this time with rivals Asante Kotoko.
Meanwhile, coach Mariano Baretto remains in charge of the Porcupine Warriors, having joined the club before the start of the second round.
He missed Saturday’s defeat at Bechem United as he serves a game suspension form the Ghana Football Association.[ads5]
