Asante Kotoko newly signed attacker, Richard Arthur is optimistic the Kumasi based side will clinch the next season’s CAF Champions League trophy.
Arthur who joined the Porcupine Warriors on a three-year deal as a free agent after terminating contract with Ethiopian side St. Georges, believes Asante Kotoko have what it takes to lift the 2019/20 CAF Champions League trophy and he will not be surprised should they win the trophy.
“Well I will not be surprised if Asante Kotoko wins this year’s CAF Champions League. As a player, I am here to give all the best in me and achieve all my goals”, Arthur told 442gh.
The former Wa All Stars goal poacher became the seventh signing for the Porcupine Warriors who are augmenting squad for the next season’s CAF Champions League campaign.
The Black Stars B attacker was included in the team’s registered squad for the Champions League campaign and he is expected to form a deadly attack with George Abege who joined the Reds from Kenya Premier League side Kariobanji Sharks on a three-year deal.
Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko will begin their CAF Champions League campaign on August 9, 2019.
