Black Stars of Ghana head coach Kwesi Appiah is set to be handed a contract renewal should his term expired.

Coach Kwesi Appiah was handed a six months contract extension prior to the 2019 AFCON in Egypt after his initial two-year deal expired.
But Kofi Asare Brako ‘Abatey’ who is the Special Aide for Sports Minister Isaac Kwame Asiamah, has indicated that coach Kwesi Appiah is likely to be handed a contract renewal.
According to Abatey, coach Kwesi Appiah could have his contract renewed following the Black Stars splendid performance in the 2021 AFCON qualifiers.
“With the performance of the two games he (Kwesi Appiah) has played, it’s likely coach Kwesi Appiah will be maintained. To my best of knowledge, his contract will be renewed”, Abatey told Metro FM.
Ghana is currently leading the group C table of the 2021 AFCON qualifiers with six points, after beating South Africa and São Tome and Principe.
