Hearts of Oak goalkeeper, Richard Attah couldn’t make Ghana squad for World Cup playoff against Nigeria, according to latest report in the media.
The outstanding goalkeeper was reported to have been included in the Black Stars squad for the Nigeria games following his spectacular form for Hearts of Oak.
But latest report indicate that Attah who was part of the Ghana squad for the AFCON 2021 has lost his spot to Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Richard Ofori who has been out of action for six months due to injury.
Although coach Otto Addo is yet to announce the squad, report has it that Richard Ofori, Joseph Wollacot of Swindon Town and Abdul Manaf Nurudeen of Belgian side Eupin are the three goalkeepers for the two crucial games as Ghana quest for a ticket to the prestigious tournament in Qatar later this year.
This also means that Asante Kotoko enterprising goalkeeper, Danlad Ibrahim is not part of the squad as earlier speculated in the local media.
Ghana will host long-standing rival Nigeria at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium on March 25, 2022 for the first leg of the World Cup playoff before the reverse fixture on March 29 at the Mashood Abiola Sports Stadium in Abuja…
