President Akufo-Addo will on Sunday, October 3, 2021 commissioned the newly constructed artificial turf at Cocoa Ase in the Bantama constituency in Ashanti Region.
The facility, financed by the National Lottery Authority (NLA), started in March last year with Wembley Sports Construction Company Limited as the constructors.[ads2]
And after almost eighteen months, the ultramodern artificial turf has been completed with its commissioning set for Sunday.
The commissioning exercise will have Black Stars old players led by Stephen Appiah facing Bantama All Stars led by former Asante Kotoko and Black Stars striker Prince Opoku Polley in a cagey encounter.
The facility forms part of Hon. Francis Asenso-Boakye; the member of Parliament for Bantama Constituency contribution to sports in the constituency.
The facility will boast of spectator stands, floodlights, washrooms, dressing room, inner perimeter fencing, and reserve player seats, among othersβ.
The facility will also enhance training and development of sporting talents in the Constituency and equip the youth with the needed skills to compete with the rest of the world, and will also be serve as event grounds for the community.[ads5]
