The Professional Football Association of Ghana (PFAG) have sent goodwill message to Asante Kotoko and Ashanti Gold ahead of their CAF inter-club campaign.
Asante Kotoko will take on Nigerian side Kano Pillars in the first-leg of the CAF Champions League on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at the Sani Abacha Sports Stadium before the second-leg in Kumasi.
Ashanti Gold on the other hand will face Equatorial Guinea side Akonangui FC in the CAF Confederation Cup this weekend in Malabo before hosting the reverse fixture in Obuasi.
However PFAG have wished both Ghana Premier League sides well ahead of their CAF inter-club competitions this weekend.
A statement reads ” The Professional Football Association of Ghana (PFAG) wishes to convey a message of goodwill to Asante Kotoko and Ashantigold as they face Nigerian side Kano Pillars and Akonangui of Equatorial Guinea in the first leg of the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup respectively.
The PFAG is delighted at the recent investments made and the clubs’ preparations for this African challenge.
We urge the players and the technical team to work hard to deliver the needed outcome.
