South Africa Premier Soccer League side Orlando Pirates are close to announcing the signing of Ghanaian goalkeeper Richard Ofori.
The 26-year old dependable goalkeeper has been a long standing transfer target for Orlando Pirates following his spectacular performance for Maritzburg United.

But reports from South Africa divulge that finally Orlando Pirates have been given the greenlight to negotiate with the goalkeeper for a possible move.
Maritzburg United chairman Farook Kadodia has finally confirmed that indeed negotiations between Richard Ofori and Orlando Pirates have begun and soon the Black Stars netminder will join the Houghton-based club.

“I can now confirm that we’ve allowed Orlando Pirates to begin talks with Richard Ofori. Once the deal is concluded they will make an announcement”, Kadodia is quoted by South African’s Kickoff.com
Richard Ofori has been instrumental for Maritzburg United since joining from Ghana Premier League side Wa All Stars [Now Legon Cities FC] in 2018.

He has capped over 70 matches for Maritzburg United in his two years stay at the club.
Richard Ofori is currently the first choice goalkeeper of Ghana senior male national team, Black Stars, capping 19 matches since making his debut in 2015.
