Bechem United coach Kasim Mingle has expressed his displeasure on the performance of referee Latif Adaari in FA Cup final on Sunday, June 26, 2022.
It was a final full of end-to-end action between Hearts of Oak and Bechem United at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
The game ended 2:1 for Hearts of Oak who went into the game as the defending Champions, having won the trophy last season against AshantiGold Sporting Club.
Emmanuel Avornyo broke the deadlock for Bechem United before Caleb Amankwah and Daniel Afriyie Barnieh could score for the Phobians to win their 12th FA Cup title.
Unfortunately for Bechem United, their in-form attacker Augustine Okrah was sent off during the second half for assaulting a referee.
Speaking after the game, coach Kasim Mingle believes the referee’s decision against Augustine Okrah was needless.
“We played very well in the first half but the match official gave a needless red card. We should have won this match”, Mingle said as quoted by GTV.
After beating Bechem United, Hearts of Oak have secured the ticket to represent Ghana in next season’s CAF Confederation Cup.
