Kumasi Asante Kotoko have named former coach Charles Kwablah Akonnor as the technical director with immediate effect, Kyfilla.com can exclusively report.
According to a statement signed by the Chief Executive Officer of the Porcupine Warriors, George Amoako, Akonnor has been appointed as the technical director with an improved salary of GHC 8,500.
The former Ghanaian international footballer resigned as the head coach for the Porcupines after management decided in a meeting to assign him the technical director role in the team with a new substantive coach to assume the coaching job.
Kyfilla.com understands, Akonnor will oversees the technical directions of both the Junior and seniors teams of Asante Kotoko and will also serve as an intermediary between the management and the technical bench of the club.
