The 2017/18 Ghana Premier League season has officially been cancelled by the GFA Elective Congress today.

The season was truncated after the Anas Aremeyaw Anas Number 12 expose, which uncovered the rottenness in Ghana and Africa football at large.

At the Elective Cogress today, 64 members unanimously, agreed for the 2017/18 to be cancelled.

The 2019/20 Ghana Premier League season will, for the first time in Ghana football, be competed by 18 clubs instead of the standard 16 clubs; with Great Olympics and King Faisal as the two new clubs included.
