Ace legal practitioner and highly-respected politician, Nana Obiri Boahen has revealed his readiness to mount the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) general Secretary position.
According to the astute politician, serving as the deputy general Secretary of the party both in opposition and now in government makes him eligible enough to be the general Secretary of the ruling party.[ads2]
Speaking on Kumasi-based Wontumi TV/Radio, Nana Obiri Boahen stated that, there are posters circulating that he has started campaigning for the general Secretary position which it’s not true since government has not lifted the ban on campaigns, rallies etc.[ads3]
“Who doesn’t want an elevation..?? I have been the party’s deputy general Secretary both in opposition and in power, if the time is up now, why not, am ready… But I have seen posters around indicating that I have started campaigning, please it’s not true because the government has not lifted the ban..”, he said on Wontumi TV/Radio..
