The Communications Director of Karela United, Eric Alagidede says only three players of Asante Kotoko can make it to the Karela United team.
According to Alagidede, with the exception of Emmanuel Gyamfi, Abdul Ishmael Ganiyu and Abdul Fatawu Shafiu, none of the current Asante Kotoko players can make their way into the Karela United team.
“Only three players at Kotoko can make it into the team of Karela United and they are Abdul Ganiyu, Emmanuel Gyamfi and Abdul Fatau Shafiu, aside them none of their current players can make it into our team” Eric Alagidede told Oyerepa FM.
Expressing his view on their final game against the Porcupine Warriors on Sunday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, Alagidede said ” we will be awarded a penalty against Asante Kotoko tomorrow because our players will give the defenders of Kotoko a hell of a time which they will have no option but to foul them”.
Karela United will battle for a chance to represent Ghana in next season’s CAF Champions League by facing Asante Kotoko in the finals of the NC Special Competition tier 1 on Sunday, June 23, 2019 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
The game promises to be fireworks as Karela United’s Diawisie Taylor battle with Abdul Fatawu Shafiu for the topscorers award in tier 1 of the NC Special Competition. Taylor leads the topscorers log with 11 goals with Fatawu amassing 10.
