Former Ghana international, Nii Odartey Lamptey has resigned from his position as head coach of Elmina Sharks.
Odartey Lamptey has relinquished his position at the Ghana Premier League club after just 54 days in charge.[ads2]
The former Anderlecht midfielder is said to have tendered in his resignation letter on Wednesday citing personal reasons.
He was appointed the head coach of Elmina Sharks on interim basis after Yaw Acheampong resigned as the head coach of the club.[ads3]
Elmina Sharks is currently suffering financially and Odartey Lamptey is reported to have been financing some of the team’s league matches.[ads4]
He won three matches and lost once in four games during his short spell at the club.
Assistant Sam Addo will take charge of the side ahead of their trip to Dorma Ahenkro to battle Aduana Stars.[ads5]
