Ghana midfielder, Kudus Mohammed has said he does not see Brazil superstar Neymar Jnr as a better player than him.
To Kudus, he is equally talented as Neymar just that the PSG talisman is a high-profile player.
“He’s not better than me. He’s just a higher profile player, that’s all,” the Ajax FC prodigy told Ghanaian journalist Gary Al-Smith in an interview.
He indicated that with hard work and determination he would get to Neymar’s level soon.
“What makes him better, for now, is that he has achieved a lot, but “I’ll get there soon.”
This comes after Ghana played Brazil in a pre-World Cup friendly in September with the West African country losing by 3:0.
It was a game that Kudus Mohammed flourished in Ghana’s midfield, giving Neymar a huge run fr his money.
And with Ghana coming up against Portugal who boast of another world-class footballer in Cristiano Ronaldo in the World Cup, Kudus Mohammed was asked about the team’s preparation in camp of which he responded that, “We’ve not been great recently, but I know what I feel when I speak to the guys. The spirit is really great and this team will come good very soon. Maybe not now, but very soon.”
Ghana will face Portugal in first game of the 2022 World Cup at the Stadium 974 on Thursday, November 24, 2022.
