A special operations team from the Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) carried out a dawn raid today in Efiekuma, a suburb of Takoradi, targeting suspected drug dens.
Acting on credible intelligence, the team stormed the area in the early hours and arrested several individuals believed to be involved in drug-related activities. Quantities of illicit substances were also confiscated during the operation.
The exercise forms part of NACOC’s intensified efforts to clamp down on drug trafficking and abuse in the Western Region. Authorities say such operations will continue as part of a broader strategy to curb the growing menace of narcotics in communities.
Residents of Efiekuma have lauded the move, expressing hope that it will help restore safety and sanity in the area.
