Ghana coach, Milovan Rajevac has made it clear that he will not resign as Black Stars tactician after exiting from the AFCON 2021 in Cameroon.
A determined Black Stars squad eager to end the forty-year drought of not winning AFCON tournament, were painfully booted out debutant Comoros in a cagey encounter on Tuesday.
Comoros managed to tame Ghana 3:2 at the Stade Omnisport Roumde Adjia in last group game of the AFCON on Tuesday evening.[ads2]
It was a night to remember as Comoros gathered all the courage to succumb ten-man Ghana side with such an unimaginable scoreline.
Speaking to the press after the game, Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac stated emphatically that he will not resign despite his side performing woefully in Cameroon.
According to the Serbian tactician, he has no plans of resigning from the Black Stars as his aim of taking over the top position was to qualify Ghana to the World Cup in Qatar next year but his side shambolic display in the AFCON to be a learning process.[ads3]
“I took this job with the aim of taking Ghana to the World Cup. This competition did not go well but it is a learning process for us.”
Meanwhile, Ghana is among the ten countries for the World Cup playoff scheduled for March, 2022.[ads5]
