Bibiani GoldStars held Medeama Sporting Club to a 1:1 stalemate in matchday two of the Ghana Premier League at the Akoon Park in Tarkwa on Tuesday.
The game which was supposed to have been played last weekend was postponed for today due to technical reasons.
Prior to the game, GoldStars were tipped by many to return to Bibiani without even point considering the fact that Medeama lost the it first game to Bechem United and would be hoping to win its first home match.[ads2]
The two sides gave a crunch game in the first half with both clubs failing to break the virginity of the game at the Akoon Park in Tarkwa.
Despite Medeama boasting of rich experience in the league, GoldStars were able to hold them down until the 82nd minute where Burkinabe forward Ahmed Simba Toure opened the deadlock for the Yellow and Mauves.
After just eight minutes of conceding the opener, GoldStars came back stronger to snatch the parity kind courtesy Joshua Akoto.[ads3]
GoldStars have now accumulated four points after two matches and will host Asante Kotoko this weekend at the Duns Park in Bibiani.
Medeama SC on the other hand have gotten only a point after two matches and will travel to Techiman to face Eleven Wonders in week three of the Ghana Premier League…[ads5]
