Hearts of Oak were held to a pulsating goalless draw by Karela United in week four of the Ghana Premier League at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday evening.
The Phobians who were determined to secure their first victory in the ongoing season were left with a shock by rejuvenated Karela United side at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Coach Kosta Papic was supervising his first game as the head coach of Hearts of Oak with hopes to defeat Karela United to bring back smiles on the faces of the supporters.[ads2]
Hearts of Oak started the game very well but Karela United managed to warm themselves better in the game.
The first half was a balanced game as it ended goalless after the first forty-five minutes.
Both clubs returned from the tunnel with the zeal to break the virginity but all to no avail.
Midfielder Michelle Sarpong had a clear chance to snatch the opener for the Phobians but his strike rattled the woodwork with Patrick Razak doing all the works.[ads3]
Karela United also came close to a goal but Diawisie Taylor who currently boast of two goals in the league couldn’t do the magic for the visitors.
The game ended goalless after the ninety minutes which means Hearts of Oak who have an outstanding match are yet to win a game after drawing two and losing a game.
Hearts of Oak will host Dreams FC at the Accra Sports Stadium in week five of the ongoing league season while Karela United will welcome King Faisal at the fortress Crosby Awuah Memorial Park in Ayinase.[ads5]
