Asante Kotoko continued their impressive form in the ongoing Ghana Premier League campaign as they defeated Legon Cities FC at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday evening.

A brace from Emmanuel Gyamfi and Augustine Okrah’s stunner ensured the Porcupine Warriors trounced the Accra based side 1:3 this evening.
Legon Cities FC had the opener courtesy a goal from Greek international Panagiatos Papadopoulos in the 10th minute of the match.
Asante Kotoko quickly regrouped and started pilling up pressure on the home side with Songne Yacouba, Emmanuel Gyamfi, Augustine Okrah proving deadly upfront.
In the 33th minute, Augustine Okrah restored parity for the Porcupine Warriors to end the first half of the match.
Kotoko returned from the break to dominate possession as Emmanuel Gyamfi sent the visitors to the lead with a 51st minute goal.
In the 60th minute, Songne Yacouba dribbled pass two defenders and crossed the ball into the eighteen yard box but the ball deflected a Legon Cities FC defender which landed on Emmanuel Gyamfi, who headed the ball into the empty net for Kotoko.

Legon Cities FC came back strong to get the equalizers with Saddick Sulley and Romeo Oppong coming close.
Kotoko stood on their ground well to end the game 1:3 winners.
