Great Olympics have begun the second round of the league season on a higher note as they pipped Medeama Sporting Club 1:0 at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday afternoon.
The strike from defender Samuel Ashie-Quaye ensured that Great Olympics defeat a star studed Medeama side in a frantic encounter at the Accra Sports Stadium.[ads2]
Ashie-Quaye netted the only goal for high-flying Great Olympics side in the 39th minute. The left-back pounced on a fine pass, outpaced his marker and beat goalkeeper Ofori Antwi with a low shot.
The victory sends Great Olympics to the top of the league table, leapfrogging Karela United who face AshantiGold Sporting Club in Ayinase on Sunday.[ads3]
