Liberty Professionals managed to secure a point at the Ndoun Sports Complex on Sunday afternoon against Elmina Sharks.
Sharks started the game very well leading to Benjamin Tweneboah opener for the home team in the 27th minute.[ads2]
Both clubs created some decent chances in the game but failed to change the scoreline for the first half.
Liberty returned with some power, searching for the equalizer until they were awarded a penalty in the 60th minute but skipper George Ansong squandered the great opportunity.[ads3]
But Liberty Professionals didn’t rest until substitute Kweku Karikari restored the parity in the 90th minute to end the game 1:1.
Liberty Professionals will host Techiman Eleven Wonders at the Carl Reindorf Park in Dansoman in week three of the Ghana Premier League whiles Elmina Sharks will travel to Sogakope to play WAFA SC.[ads5]
