The Black Stars of Ghana have secured their second win in the ongoing 2021 AFCON qualifiers after beating São Tome and Principe at the Estadio Nacional 12 de Julho on Monday afternoon.

Crystal Palace forward Jordan Ayew scored the only goal in the match to secure Ghana the three maximum points today.
Ghana dominated the first half of the match but failed to get the opener as the first forty-five minutes ended goalless.
Coach Kwesi Appiah’ side returned from the break to dominate the early minutes of the second half which resulted to Jordan Ayew’s goal.
Jordan Ayew netted the opener for Ghana from the spot after Emmanuel Boateng was fouled by the São Tome goalkeeper in just four minutes into second half.
The four times AFCON champions continued to pressure the home side for another goal but all efforts went fruitless as the game ended 1:0 in favour of the visitors.
Ghana now have six points after winning the first two matches of the qualifiers and will play Sudan at home in their next game of the qualifiers in August 2020.
