Newly-appointed Asante Kotoko head coach, Mariano Barreto has officially started working.
The Portuguese was appointed the head coach of the Ghana Premier League outfit after penning down a two-year deal with the club.[ads2]
He begun work as the new head coach of Asante Kotoko on Monday, March 29, 2021 where he led the team in the training session.
Coach Barreto will have a taste of the Ghana Premier League when he sit at the dugout of Asante Kotoko in their game against Techiman Eleven Wonders this weekend.
Coach Barreto has been unattached after leaving Lithuanian side Stumbers in 2018…[ads3]
He has joined Asante Kotoko with his own assistant coach and Physical trainer according with interim coaches Johnson Smith and Abdulai Gazalle demoted to the youth team.[ads4]
Coach Barreto has managed clubs like Marítimo, Al-Nassr FC, Naval 1º de Maio, AEL Limassol, Recreativo do Libolo and Al-Qadisiyah.
He also served as assistant coach at Russian sides Dynamo Moscow and Kuban Krasnodar.[ads5]
