The defensive midfielder has been struck down by a knee injury since February 2019 and underwent a successful surgery in Germany in July last year.
Senanu has since been undergoing rehabilitation which, according to the Medical Team, is now in the last phase which could take eight weeks to complete.
“Senanu is currently undergoing the second phase of recovery,” said Deputy Head of the Medical Team, Emmanuel Osei Owusu. This part is divided into two, and the first includes the strengthening of his muscles. This should take him a month to complete.”
“The second part, which is about endurance drills, will follow immediately afterwards. That should also take a month to complete. Senanu will then be strong enough to join his teammates once his muscles have been strengthened and he has attained the required body strength and endurance level.”

Richard Senanu was a pivot in the Asante Kotoko impressive Confederation Cup campaign under former Coach, Charles Akonnor forming a combative unit with Kwame Bonsu.
The player’s full recovery will come as a major boost to Maxwell Konadu’s Porcupines, who aim of winning the 2019/20 Premier League to return to continental championship next season
