Kumasi Asante Kotoko head coach, Charles Kwablah Akonnor has expressed interest in Karela United quadruple to beef up his team ahead of the next season’s CAF Champions League.
According to report making rounds in the Ghanaian media, Akonnor has informed the management of the team about the immediate inclusion of the four players to the Asante Kotoko set up before the next season’s CAF Champions League campaign commence.
The quadruple; Ampem Da Costa who is the skipper for Karela United alongside Diawisie Taylor, Sarfo Taylor and Emmanuel Osei Baffour who were spectacular during the NC Special Competition tier 1 final against the Porcupine Warriors at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday.
Report says, the management of Asante Kotoko are yet to communicate with Karela United for the swoop of the quadruple.
Asante Kotoko beat Karela United on penalty shootouts after 1:1 in regulation during the NC Special Competition tier 1 final and have booked a ticket to represent Ghana in next season’s CAF Champions League.
