Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko have denied transfer rumours surrounding their duo of Franck Mbella Etouga and Sheriff Mohammed.
The two players have been in the headlines recently with links outside the club following their fine form in the Ghana Premier League this season.
Etouga who has bagged sixteen league goals for Asante Kotoko and currently leading the top scorers chart this season has been heavily linked to French Ligue I outfit Saint-Étienne.
Sheriff Mohammed on the other hand has also been linked to a move abroad after the end of the season.
But the Communications Director of Kotoko, David Obeng Nyarko has responded to the rumours around the two players, labelling them as ‘fabricated stories’ which the fans of the club should treat them as false.
In a post on Twitter, David Obeng Nyarko said, ” Transfer Rumors here and there .. Warriors, let’s stay focused on winning the league and not on these fabricated stories that has the tendency to create diversion. All discussions and decisions on potential transfers in and out of the club will be taken at the end season. Ok.”
Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko have reportedly opened contract renewal talks with midfielder Mudasiru Salifu whose contract with the club which expire at the end of the season.
It is believed that Kotoko are in advanced talks with the highly-rated defensive midfielder who is currently regarded as one of the best in the domestic league.
Asante Kotoko currently sit at the summit of the Ghana Premier League table with 52 points after 24 matches, with 8 points separating them and Bechem United who place second.

The Porcupines will travel this weekend to Tamale to play relegation-threatening RTU side at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium.
