Ghana Premier League heavyweight, Asante Kotoko are on the verge of appointing Maxwell Konadu as their new head coach.

According to source, management of Kotoko have accepted to name the Black Stars ‘B’ gaffer as their new coach in the coming days on a three-year deal.
A deep throat at Kotoko management told Kyfilla.com that, “We’ve decided to appoint Maxwell Konadu because he knows most of our key players, and will relate well with them.”

The deep throat continued that, “the supporters call for Konadu was also considered by the management, because we want them to rekindle the love for the team after out exit from Africa.
“Initially, we wanted to appoint a foreign coach but after one management meeting with the supporters head, we concluded on Konadu”, the source added.
Maxwell Konadu guided Asante Kotoko to win the Ghana Premier League in the 2011/12 season.

He was named the best coach after the 2019 WAFU Cup after guiding Ghana to finish second.
Meanwhile the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League season commenced on December 28, 2019.
