Asante Kotoko pursuit for Medeama Sporting Club midfield dynamo Justice Blay has abruptly stopped.
The Porcupine Warriors have been in negotiation with Medeama SC for the service of the defensive midfielder ahead of the new league season.
This comes after the talented midfielder had impressed in his initial loan deal at Asante Kotoko in the just cancelled 2019/20 league season.

It is reported that Medeama Sporting Club were quoting huge amount of money for the service of the player of which Asante Kotoko were not ready to break the bank to pay the said amount.
After a long transfer tussle, the deal has finally been halted as the player has undergone medical screening for Medeama ahead of the new league season.

Also speaking to Kumasi-based Pure FM, the Chief Executive Officer of Medeama SC, James Essilfie has affirmed that Justice Blay will play for the Tarkwa-based side in the 2020/2021 league season.
“Justice Blay is at the camp of Medeama and will play for the club in the upcoming season. His contract expires in 2022”, Mr. Essilfie said.
Blay was arguably one of the best players in Ghana during the just cancelled 2019/20 league season following his impressive performance at Asante Kotoko.

He was a constant figure in coach Maxwell Konadu’s team throughout the season where he played 13 matches, scoring 2 goals.
His goal against Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium will be hugely remembered by Asante Kotoko faithfuls as he will no longer play for the club in the upcoming league season.
