Samuel Arbuah, the Chief Executive Officer of Sekondi Hasaacas has said the management of the club is confident Joe Agyemang Jnr will deliver as the team’s head coach.
Joe Agyemang Jnr has been appointed Hasaacas head coach for the upcoming league season after Mustapha Fudail decided not to continue with the club as the head coach.
Since his appointment, many including some section of the club’s supporters have objected the management decision, calling for a more ‘competent’ coach to lead the club for the 2021/22 division one league season.[ads4]
But speaking in an interview on Takoradi-based Ahoto FM, Mr. Samuel Arbuah stated emphatically that Joe Agyemang Jnr is competent enough to the lead the team next season as the head coach despite the wranglings from some supporters of the club.
Mr. Arbuah said that Joe Agyemang Jnr has proven to be a brilliant coach after several years of serving the club and deserves to be respected.
“….He is a very calm person, respectful and focused. Joe Agyemang is very intelligent and a tough guy as well. He has served Hasaacas diligently. Technically, Joe [Agyemang] is very astute and even coached the club at the premier league level after Yusif Basigi left, he took over and defeated the likes of Dreams FC and Aduana Stars as the head coach.[ads2]
“But because he is close to us, we don’t value him, even some of our supporters don’t respect him, but he has the certificate that other coaches we have hired were having and I think he is capable of coaching Hasaacas”, Mr. Arbuah said on Takoradi-based Ahoto FM during an interview with ace sportscaster Stephen Kwame Yeboah on Thursday, November 18, 2021.
Responding to question on whether he has regretted taking over Hasaacas CEO job, Samuel Arbuah said that, “I have no regret taking over Hasaacas, before joining the club I had anticipated the challenges I will face but I never thought I will spend so much for a league season which will be cancelled.[ads1]
“As for the criticisms and the bashing from the supporters, I had anticipated them before joining the Club. That doesn’t mean I have regretted because Hasaacas has given the platform to reach many people. Before the Hasaacas job, nobody knew me, the mileage that I have gotten from Hasaacas is huge that no amount of money could pay.”
