Ghanaian comic actor, Akwasi Boadi popularly known as Akrobeto has said he can convince Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah to switch nationality and play for Ghana.
The 22-year old has been a long-standing target for Ghana following his exploits at Arsenal.
Nketiah is of Ghanaian decent and eligible to play for either Ghana or England at the international level. He has only played for the England youth sides and can still play for England since he has not featured for the Three Lions.
He recently gained the attention of Ghanaians when he scored twice against Chelsea in the English Premier League few days ago.
Since that sumptuous display against Chelsea, Ghanaians have been calling on the Ghana FA to do whatever possible to convince Nketiah to switch nationality and play for the Black Stars in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Even though the former Leeds United forward is yet to make a decision, Akrobeto believes he can convince Nketiah to play for the Black Stars should the Ghana FA mandate him to do so.
“I was watching Manchester United and I saw Ronaldo then another boy called Nketiah. He is very good and he even scored two goals against Chelsea. Our [Black Stars] attack is not good so if they don’t want us to go to Qatar and come back early, they should call him [Eddie Nketiah].
“Any player who [can] score two goals against Chelsea and play against Ronaldo [Cristiano] is good so I am begging the GFA, if they can’t convince him, they should send me, I will bring him in just three days”, Akrobeto told Angel FM sportscaster Saddick Adams Obama..
