Former Hearts of Oak captain Joseph Owusu Bempah is confident that the club will lift this season’s Ghana Premier League title.
The Ghana Premier League title has eluded the Phobians since2009 but are hopeful to lay hands on the trophy this season under head coach Samuel Boadu.
And Owusu Bempah who played six seasons for the Phobians before traveling abroad believes now is the time for the Rainbow giants to win their 21st league title.
Speaking on Kumasi-based Pure FM, the talented midfielder stated that Hearts of Oak have done enough this season to lift the league title despite huge competitions from bitterest rivals Asante Kotoko and Great Olympics.
“I have the believe that Hearts of Oak will win the league, though I couldn’t lift the league trophy , I have a feeling that this is their season to finally win the league title”, he said.
“Initially things were not going on well, even when coach Samuel Boadu took over there were issues but now I think things are moving smoothly. I might not be playing for them but I support them to win the league because I will forever be a Phobian”, he added.
Meanwhile, Hearts of Oak are currently leading the league table after 27 matches with 49 points, two points ahead of bitterest rivals Asante Kotoko who are second on the log.
The Phobians will face city rivals Great Olympics in week 28 of the Ghana Premier League, a fixture many believe will determine the fate of the Phobians this season…[ads5]
