Accra Hearts of Oak have reached a club-to-club agreement with lower-tier outfit Golden Kick FC for the transfer of talented defender Baba Adamu, sources close to the deal have confirmed.
The highly-rated left-footed centre-back is set to join the Phobians ahead of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season, with personal terms expected to be finalised in the coming days. Once completed, Adamu will sign a three-year contract with the former league champions.
Known for his calmness under pressure and solid defensive instincts, Baba Adamu caught the eye with a string of strong performances during the just-ended campaign. His potential had attracted interest from several top-flight clubs, but Hearts acted swiftly to secure his signature.
The acquisition of Adamu forms part of the club’s broader squad rebuild under a renewed technical direction, as the Phobians aim to return to the summit of Ghanaian football. His addition is expected to bolster their defensive line with much-needed youth and energy ahead of the new season.
