Grande Masters Sporting Club, a lower tier side have wished both Asante Kotoko and Ashanti Gold well ahead of the Africa campaign.
A statement from the management of the club reads “In your courageous effort to keep the torch of Ghana shinning in Africa and beyond, Grande Masters Sporting Club would like to wish our big brothers Asante Kotoko and Ashanti Gold the very best of luck as you prepare to conquer Kano Pillars of Nigeria and Akonangui FC of Equatorial Guinea respectively. We urge you to remain focus and eschew complacency in order to win big to give your team a brighter start.”
Asante Kotoko will face Kano Pillars at the Sani Abacha Sports Stadium this weekend before the reverse fixture at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on August 27.
Ashanti Gold Sporting Club will come face-to-face against Akonangui FC in the CAF Confederation Cup this weekend before the second-leg in Obuasi.
