Ghana midfielder, Mubarak Wakaso has completed a move to Belgian Super League outfit KAS Eupen on a season-long loan deal.[ads2]
The 32-year old has joined KAS Eupen from Chinese Super League side Shenzen FC after passing a mandatory medicals.
The club’s official statement reads “The 70-time Ghanaian international Mubarak Wakaso will play for KAS Eupen until the end of this season. The 32-years-old midfielder is on loan from Chinese first division club FC Shenzhen”.[ads3]
The former Villarreal midfielder will be spending the 2022/23 league season in Belgium having spent three years in China, winning the Super League with the defunct Jiangsu Suning.
Wakaso has become the third Ghanaian in the KAS Eupen squad for the 2022/23 league season with Isaac Nuhu and Manaf Nurudeen already in their folds.
With the World Cup approaching, Wakaso who has been out of action since February due to injury is expected to exhibit an incredible performance with KAS Eupen in order to entice Ghana coach Otto Addo for the mundial in Qatar.[ads4]
Mubarak Wakaso spent most of his career in Spain where he played for Villareal, Elche, Las Palmas, Espanyol and Deportivo Alaves.[ads5]
