Ghana defender Philemon Baffour could missed the World Cup playoff games against Nigeria later this month.
The astounding right-back is expected to undergo a surgery this week and may missed out the two crucial games.
Baffour has been part of the Black Stars squad throughout the qualifiers which culminated to his move to Portuguese side Rio Ave in the January transfer window.
He joined Rio Ave after the 2021 AFCON in Cameroon where Ghana couldn’t make it out of a group of Morocco, Gabon and Comoros.
The former Dreams FC skipper was part of the Ghana squad in the AFCON but failed to make an appearance.
Ghana will welcome long-standing rival Nigeria at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium on March 25, 2022 for the first leg of the World Cup playoff before the reverse fixture on March 29 at the Mashood Abiola Sports Stadium in Abuja…
