The Accra Human Rights Court has adjourned the AshantiGold case against the Ghana Football Association to Thursday, October 20, 2022.[ads2]
This was after a court hearing on Friday, October 14, 2022 which means the Ghana Premier League will continue to remain suspended due to the injunction placed on it by AshantiGold SC.
The former Ghana Premier League champions placed an injunction on the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season after being demoted to the division two over match manipulation.[ads3]
The GFA demoted AshantiGold to the division two after investigation proved that their 2020/21 league game against Inter Allies was fixed.

Even though Inter Allies accepted the ruling, AshantiGold have chosen to fight the verdict since they believe there was human rights infringement against them hence the court injunction.
Before the injunction, the Ghana Premier League was entering match week four.[ads4]
