The Ghana Football Association (GFA) is reportedly set to name Otto Addo and Ibrahim Tanko as Black Stars assistant coaches.
Reports indicate that, the former Borusia Dortmund players will be named the new Black Stars coaches with Chris Hughton as the head coach.[ads2]
Hughton, a former Brighton and Holve Albion tactician will be replacing Milovan Rajevac who was sacked as Black Stars head coach after the team’s abysmal showdown at the AFCON 2021.
Initialy Ghana FA wanted Otto Addo as the new Black Stars coach on interim basis but a meeting with the Sports Ministry has given Chris Hughton the top job.[ads3]
This forms part of Ghana’s preparations ahead of 2022 World Cup playoff against long-standing rivals Nigeria.
Ghana will host the first leg before traveling to Abuja for the second game.[ads5]
